Pe locul doi în topul nominalizărilor la Oscar 2024 s-a plasat fantezia „Poor Things”, care a câștigat 11 nominalizări.

„Killers of the Flower Moon”, cu Robert de Niro și Leonardo di Caprio, a primit 10 nominalizări.

Atât „Oppenheimer”, cât și „Killers of the Flower Moon” prezintă subiecte din capitole dureroase ale istoriei americane, ocupă centrul atenției "într-un moment de neliniște politică și dezbinare în țară, care pare să ofere subiectului lor întunecat o rezonanță suplimentară".
